Who am I? I WRITE books. I EDIT other people’s stories. I TEACH students how to write their own novels. And I JUDGE. I had the privilege of being a fiction judge for the 2010 PEN/USA Literary Awards and in 2012 I am the Fiction and New Fiction judge for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. I’m more than honored to be asked.
I am also the original creator of DimeStories, The 3-minute stories reading series that was the inspiration for NPR’s Three-Minute Fictions.
