Who am I?  I WRITE books.  I EDIT other people’s stories.  I TEACH students how to write their own novels.  And I am the snarky host and founder of DimeStories, The 3-minute stories reading series that is working its way toward public radio. 

WRITE.  My first novel, MoonPies & Movie Stars was a Los Angeles Times Bestseller.   “Bestseller” means for one nanosecond I was #10 at selling the most books at the bookstores that the LA Times monitors.  You may be surprised, but no checks arrive, no television crews pull up into your driveway, BUT you get to put bestseller in your bio.
